kim goodmanFOUNDER + INSTRUCTOR (CYCLING, BARRE, YIN YOGA)
Though Kim has been a part of the fitness scene in various roles since 2008, it wasn’t until opening Upcycle that she really felt like she was where she belonged (minus all the times she worked out with her big sister to Billy Blanks Tae-Bo videos in their living room growing up). No matter the class format, her goal is to get you moving and laughing while connecting in with your body. Kim LOVES mentoring new instructors, leading vision board and goal-setting workshops and organizing/hosting events. When she's not at the studio, Kim loves to cook and document it on Instagram, go on long walks, read and hang out with her husband, Jake, and their dogs. She's also a website designer, social media manager and the Director of the Collingswood Farmers Market. If it's local, creative or sweaty, she's probably into it. |
jake goodmanOWNER.
After playing sports most of his life, Jake started working in the fitness and recreation industry when he was in college and he never really left. He’s worked as a personal trainer, a swim instructor and a program manager for Rutger’s aquatics department. Jake is currently the Recreation Director for Collingswood and now also runs a sports training facility in Moorestown, which is why you may not see him around the studio much these days. He thinks fitness should always have some element of fun and consistency is more important than difficulty or effort. When he’s not working, he can be found lifting/running, hitting up escape rooms with Kim or watching YouTube videos so he can bust out random facts on just about anything that comes up in any conversation. |
steph wilrigsCYCLING INSTRUCTOR + BOOK CLUB CO-FOUNDER.
Steph got into Spinning® when she was 22 and was playing around with the idea of doing triathlons. She's "more of a drowner than a swimmer", so that life choice never really took off, BUT she fell in love with Spin®! Steph has been a personal trainer for 13 years now and knew it was exactly what she wanted to do as soon as she saw one of her mom's VHS workout tapes when she was about 3 years old. Steph casually trained people until she finished her degree in Health and Exercise Science. Ever since then, she's been working on helping a range of people from athletes to seniors and absolutely loves what she does! Off the bike, her favorite things to do with her husband are check out new breweries, hike, and go to the beach. She has a baby who loves to have dance parties with her everyday and also has one of the cutest dogs ever. She loves (?) to run, especially half marathons and 10 milers and now reads one book a month since deciding along with Kim, Adrienne and Kelsie to start a book club at the studio a year ago. |
jeff tuckerCYCLING INSTRUCTOR.
Jeff got into indoor cycling in the early 2000s as a supplement to his triathlon training. He attended cycling classes at gyms and studios throughout South Jersey and Philadelphia, and would stay (but usually leave) based on the quality of the spin classes. In 2017, he found Upcycle and was hooked! He said, "all the instructors are solid, yet different enough that your overall fitness improves with that differentiation." Jeff became an instructor in 2019, once Kim gave him a sliver of encouragement. Jeff is certified in power spinning, and focuses on combining cardio, strength and endurance. He cues often on body position, mechanics and form throughout class. Jeff is certified through Mad Dogg Athletics (Spinning® + Spin® Power). |
kelsie danielsCYCLING + BARRE INSTRUCTOR + BOOK CLUB CO-FOUNDER.
With over thirty years of teaching experience, Kelsie still loves what she does and loves learning. She is certified in Spinning®, kickboxing, barre, is a NASM certified personal trainer and has completed her 200hr yoga teacher training. Aside from actually teaching her classes, making her playlists is just as fun… expect to hear everything from rap to Broadway in her class. Fun fact: most of Kelsie’s early years in fitness were spent in front of the camera hosting exercise television show and videos for Crunch Fitness/ESPN2 and The FIRM. (You should definitely Google her. The results will be amazing.) |
jennie santiagoBARRE INSTRUCTOR.
Jennie is certified with Barre Above, as well as TurboKick Live and Insanity Live. This is her happy time. She loves that whatever is going on in the day, it can stay outside of this space for 45 minutes, she can pump up some music, and get sweaty with a group of like-minded individuals. With a background in dance and musical theatre, she teaches very much to the beat of the music. The music is the main character of class. You're gonna get mainly top 40s, though she's been known to sneak in some 80s and 90s jams. Outside of class she loves spending time playing outside with her husband and little boy and watching trash tv with a whiskey in hand. Besides being a Disney fanatic, little known fact, a lifetime ago, she was an art student, mainly pencil and newsprint, but dabbled in paint and graphic design. She also spent some time costuming a few local theatre productions, and may have also sewn some of her own clothes. |
adrienne gironeCYCLING INSTRUCTOR + BOOK CLUB CO-FOUNDER.
Adrienne's dad introduced her to the wonderful word of Spinning® when he brought her along to a class when she was in high school. From the jump, she was hooked for life! A few years later she got Spinning® certified after some of her go-to instructors noticed her passion and encouraged her to go for it. Now she loves watching her riders in class connect to that same spark, and being a part of creating that vibe, whether it's their first class or their fiftieth. At her consulting day job, coworkers have described Adrienne as "an unstoppable ball of energy and enthusiasm" - she's pretty sure that tracks for her instructor side hustle, too! Since the days of burning CDs, Adrienne's been that friend who made mixtapes for her pals (and she's really, REALLY happy Spotify came along to make that process a heck of a lot simpler and more affordable). Her classes are all about fun playlists with great beats, blending favorites you know and love across genres while introducing you to some new jams. Off the bike, some of her favorite things to do include: reading (shout out to Upcycle Book Club!), spending time at the beach / the pool, enjoying wine / cocktails, live music (at least, when there aren't pandemics to worry about), getting back into tennis, and dropping into her fellow instructors' classes at Upcycle. |
andrew galliganYOGA INSTRUCTOR.
Andrew performed his first Vinyasa during his junior year of college and hasn’t stopped flowing since. He completed a 200 hr YTT in 2015, and has been teaching at various studios in the area for over 5 years. Using the Vinyasa practice as a framework, combined with a focus on strength, mobility, and body awareness, Andrew creates a class that is fun, challenging, and accessible to all. Andrew hopes that students leave his classes with a better understanding of their bodies and minds, and confidence along their own journey of self-discovery. For fun, Andrew loves to run, weight lift, hike, and visit the local farmers market with his wife and puppy! |
rachelle ferrelliYOGA INSTRUCTOR.
Rachelle teaches strong, creative, vinyasa flow classes that are faster paced and ideal for cross-training. Yogis will stretch and strengthen in her classes set to eclectic music including hip hop, reggae, downtempo, soul/R&B and rock. She thoughtfully crafts each class and accompanying playlist to make them unique. Students that enjoy heat-building series, a full-body workout, options to increase or decrease challenge, mindfulness and a varied flow will find it all in Rachelle’s classes. She also teaches stand-up paddleboard yoga and works full-time for a nonprofit organization. Rachelle enjoys running, stand-up paddle boarding, reading, gardening and beaching! She is a South Jersey native and grew up on a peach and apple farm 30 minutes south of Collingswood. |
alexa avittoCYCLING INSTRUCTOR.
Alexa inadvertently became a “power of the Upcycle community” case study when she moved to Collingswood in 2020 - right in that sweet spot where you couldn’t buy furniture in person, but COULD catch a spin class behind the studio. Moving from Philadelphia to the ‘burbs mid-pandemic didn’t make meeting new people terribly easy, but the Upcycle's intense classes, friendly staff, and monthly book clubs certainly helped! She realized that she maybe found her fitness “thing” when when was legitimately excited to receive HotHands® warmers for Christmas to get her through outdoor winter classes (thanks, Scott!). Alexa became a certified instructor right in the studio through Mad Dogg Athletics in 2021, and with the unwavering support of the community, has found herself on this very webpage! While she likes to think of herself as a “reformed emo kid,” her playlists beg to differ…but she does her best to mix it up with some more mainstream jams, too! Her classes have a little bit of everything, and are easy to modify for spin newbies and veterans alike. Outside of the studio, Alexa is a research biologist that studies genome editing. She has a lab coat with her name on it, and she hates to admit how cool that seems to her. When she’s not on the bike, you can find Alexa catching up on the latest 90-Day Fiance spinoff, drinking tiki drinks on her porch, or trying to convince her French bulldog, Rigatoni, to not beg for attention from every person he happens to walk past around town. |
ruth foxCYCLING INSTRUCTOR.
[Instead of Ruth writing a bio, she wanted us to use this review of her classes written by Jeff and we very, very highly approved, so enjoy.] Ruth Fox is known throughout these parts and in her native Spain as La Madrina De Spinning--roughly translated, "the Godmother of Spinning." Her classes are bad-ass. They're tough and challenging with great music. When she runs with the bulls in Pamplona, the bulls stop briefly and give way to her -- out of respect. Ruth is a savant in assembling playlists and takes great pride in having never used the same playlist twice. She will keep your legs moving and your body grooving. |
gina pusloski
YOGA INSTRUCTOR.
Gina first started practicing yoga at the urge of her podiatrist after she started running regularly. She came for the stretching and found so much more! Yoga helps ground her and keep her in the present moment. She completed her 200hr teacher training in 2018 and has been teaching
ever since. She is also certified in Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra. In 2020 amidst the pandemic, Gina started a non-profit, the Courageous Warrior Coalition, that brings yoga and mindfulness to first responders.
As a Sagittarius with a Rising and Moon in Virgo, Gina is the type that will spontaneously decided to go on a trip, then plan every last detail.
In fact, you can often find her on a road trip with her husband in their RV. She is also the mom to two bunny girls and thinks rabbit yoga should be the next big thing.

valeri collins
YOGA INSTRUCTOR.
Valeri guides students through intentional, creative yoga sequences designed to help find space in both the body and mind. Her classes provide an opportunity to turn inward, connect with breath, and receive. Valeri is passionate about demystifying the practice of yoga and offering an inclusive space for all bodies - she teaches from the heart and invites her students to move intuitively. For Valeri, the most important part of teaching is to remain a steadfast student, so you’ll often find her taking a yoga class or workshop. Off the mat, she enjoys reading, creating (pretty terrible) pottery at the Perkins Center, tending to her garden, traveling, and giving endless cuddles to her Frenchie.
